Christina Mallet on Instagram: Featuring Posy Quarterman @posyq

Posy. Posy Q. Posy Quarterman. P. Quarterman. @Posyq of the PDX* I have been mind stalking her name since I came across her amazing talent. I keep wondering what I would be if I had been given her name, or one like her’s. Anyway….   When I was looking through Posy’s brilliant mobile phone images,…

Life with Kaishon - I love her name also. You can’t really be anything but fabulous with a name like Posy!

It was a light and stormy morning.
A sweet baby was lost in the forest.
A teeny fairy appeared.
She led her to her Mama.
The child was exhausted by her excursion.
So, she floated amongst bubbles and light as she drifted to sleep.

The end.

Happy Thursday everyone.

Posy Quarterman - You are making me blush! Though really I should thank my hippie parents! Do I get a set of lenses just for being the inspiration for this contest? Ha! (totally kidding) Seriously though, thanks for the photo (and name) love. xo, PQ

sally muir - In stillness the tender voice of the forest calls to me.
Mingled scents of lichen, moist earth and decaying leaves bring me home.
Here, she waits for me, on the path we have worn bare together.
We share our secrets and the years fall as shadows behind us.
My soul is comforted by the warmth of her hand.
Bathed in her love, I am renewed.

Tricia - Dang I love Posy! Always, always thrilled to see more of her work (and for some reason hadn’t been stalking her on Instagram yet – which is now corrected)! Those last two images JUST AMAZING right!!!

Ashley McAfee - exactly why she’s one of my faves. :)

alana - great IG photos, Posy. i especially love the first image!

here we go:

One misty morning in the place where all waters begin, Dew clung to every moss-laden bough.

Father Sun was angry with his daughter, Dew, and as his bright rays cut through the damp she was transformed into a young girl, with a half-drawn map as her only guide home.

As she walked, the dew-girl met a real girl, who shared food with her from her baskets and pointed her in the direction of the great river, which was not on the map.

Mother River loved her daughter and finished drawing the map, putting an “X” to mark the fiery bush that grew over the doorway back to the headwaters.

Daughter Dew walked on through the cold afternoon and upon arriving at the bush, closed her eyes, breathed in deeply, and imagined her soft, downy bed waiting to receive her.

With her eyes still closed, she sank down, down, and found herself back at the place where young waters belong.

Joy St. John - The Road, Taken…
That is where it all began, began enveloping us, where once we stood so stately.
Forsaking it all for that one bite, we now needed new directions.
Grasping for those around us, as little children….lost.
But we were not abandoned in our hour of darkness.
The Light delivered us.
Cleansed as white as snow, we can now go safely Home.
