As research, I started combing through images on Pinterest, looking for work that moved me. That is when I first saw Jaime Lackey’s work. These images are sweet, relaxed and not overly posed. They seem to be in their natural element, just doing their thing. And can that little girl be any cuter? I don’t… Ah! My household was down with a stomach bug yesterday, so to wake up and see this on your site this morning put a big ol’ smile on my face Such sweet photos–they are the perfect photos of your first little girl. The parents must be thrilled. (Gorgeous lighting too!) Pure joy.  I love the relaxed feel and playful easiness of these family photos by Charlotte photographer Hayley Brafford. Dawn Shiree - Thank you for sharing this. That top photo is one of my top ten favorites on my pinterest boards… it has always been moving to me and I just knew there was a story behind it. I could feel the connection of this mother and daughter just through that single image… it’s so powerful. Knowing the background just made it all the more so. <3
carol lankford - i know these girls! that is my daughter and granddaughter and even though i have gotten to watch this story unfold in real life, my heart gets so full when i read stories and see pictures of them. thank you for sharing “my girls” and their story. they both have a story, like we all do, but i think it is very insightful of you to ask each of us to really stare into someone else and think about what they are at their core. that’s where the real person and real story is found. that’s one reason i love jaime’s photography, she seems to be able to find that “heart story” in everyone, through her photography.
Sara - These are amazing photos of a beautiful girl.
I also have a son with a speech delay and it has changed the way I see everything. I am grateful for things that so many other parents take for granted. Like Jaime wrote about giving anything to have toys to clean up, I long for the day that I get non-stop questions and chatter from my son. These pictures and the words that Jaime wrote are such a powerful reminder to celebrate what our children are and to take joy in every small victory.
