In the spirit of Veterans Day this photo and the one below seemed a perfect fit.
As a card carrying feminist I find this photo inspiring and a great depiction of how far we have come as women.
Like the above photo, we have a lot to be proud about as women, both behind the scenes and now serving on the front lines. Lady Power!
The color and the juxtaposition of big versus small is great here!
The vibrant color and snappy contrast lend so much depth and detail to this image.
I love the wide angle and variety of shapes.
Did you read Island of the Blue Dophins as a kid?
I did and this image totally reminds me of that story.
I love the mix of soft clouds and craggy angles of the rocks and the way the shape of the rocks keeps my eyes moving around.
Serious kids holding animals is one of my favorite genres.
That Guinea Pig ins't sure what's going on and neither do I but it all seems timeless and slightly quirky and so it's a winner.

The richness of the darks, contrasted with the powdery greys and whites is so lovely.
Oh my goodness!
This is a no logo rule breaker but I don't care because it's blows me away.
This photo is on my brain list of top portraits.
That pose, those eyes, that beautiful bw depth and perfect whites and blacks makes me swoon.
