From Jenny:

"This was the set of images that transformed me from a hybrid photographer to a film photographer. I fell in love with the creamy skin tones and soft color palette of film. It made me remember spring time in the depths of winter in Michigan. My daughter and I were at a market and this pale pink bouquet of tulips caught my eye. As soon as my 3 year old picked up the flowers and held them close to her cheek, I was sold. It was just what I needed. I purchased the flowers, brushed a couple inches of snow off my car, and headed home. I wanted to create a soft and simple images that would remind me that spring is still on its way after our 10 day power outage due to ice, the polar vortex, and 88 inches of snow this winter. I asked Lily (my daughter) to stand near our glass sliding door and tell me about spring. The piles of snow on the deck reflected the sun and provided beautiful natural light through the door. I took just one roll of Kodak Portra 400. That is all I needed. Feeling a little warmer now."
