I have to admit, I've known Angie and her partner in crime, Ashley from One Thousand Words Photography for many, many years. Since before any of us had kids (and that my friends, seems like another life time ago). In all of those years, I've always admired their work. The photos that come from One Thousand Words Photography are consistently sweet and dreamy. Love! From Angie:
"The light, the hair, the belly, the dog, the sweet gazes . . . perfection."

I love the dreamy light in these photos. And what a gorgeous mom-to-be! Her brightly colored outfits are so alive and up-beat.
We only recently began photographing pregnant women in gorgeous portraits like this. It used to be that pregnant women hid under enormous, unattractive dresses and tried to hide their bellies as much as possible. Ever since Demi Moore's nude maternity portrait by Annie Leibovitz was on the cover of Vanity Fair in 1991, we've allowed ourselves to think it acceptable to photograph pregnant women regularly.
The lady subject in this series is the epitome of beautiful, flourishing woman: her brightly colored dress, her flowing, curly hair, her confident stature...I love that this is representation of pregnancy! Just lovely.
