Anja Photography: A Beautiful Baby in the Studio

I love a well done studio session.  No props.  No distractions.  Just a beautiful baby.  Because, really, that's all you need! We would love to take a moment to congratulate Anne Kerr of Anja Photography on being named Best New Emerging Child Photographer by NAPCP!  Super cool!!

From Anne:

"It's about the clock that stops only when a moment is captured.  It's about the flood tide of remembrance, revealed in shadows and light.  Transcendence.  It's about your unrepeatable beauty.  Your spirit.  It's about seeing what's in your heart.  It's about time.  This is why I love what I do."

From Cat:

After reading Anne Kerr's quote above, about how she looks are her work as a passport back in time, and then looking at her photographs of this beautiful little baby, I got a little teary-eyed.

She said it best in her passage, but I will reiterate: it is such a special thing, what family photographers do. They're freezing a moment in time. Using photography, they make sure that you will always remember what your child's face looked like, every last detail and curve, how dark brown their eyes were, and how much hair they had when they were 10 months old.

Looking at these crisp, clean studio portraits, it feels refreshing to look at the face of this gorgeous little baby human! It's like drinking a cold glass of water on a hot day…and then scooping up that feeling of replenishment and containing it in an album, so that we may look at again, decades in the future.
